Corinna Joy Kavanagh has been a bodywork practitioner since 1991. Born in Germany, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1990 and received her Massage Therapist Certification (CMT) from Alive and Well! Institute of Conscious BodyWork in San Anselmo (now the Healus Center in Corte Madera). Although Corinna's training didn't end there. Over the years she has taken hundreds of hours of classes and workshops in various bodywork modalities. She has gone on to teach at Alive and Well! sharing her knowledge and passion for bodywork with others.
In 1994 Corinna received a certification as a Dynamic Walking Trainer from the Dynamic Health and Fitness Institute in Corte Madera. The Dynamic Walking Method teaches people to realign their posture and move out of pain through walking. In 2001, she earned her Reiki Master (3rd degree) in Germany and also completed her Doula/Labor Coach training at the Santa Rosa Health and Birth Center.
Corinna's innate desire to constantly learn and improve inspired her to enroll in the Esthetician program at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology in May of 2005. She passed her state board in September of the same year and is now also a Licensed Esthetician. Corinna is thrilled to add skin care to her practice as a natural complement to her bodywork. Ever hungry for knowledge she has since completed several advanced skin care courses at the International Dermal Institute in San Francisco.
